21Days/20 Nights:Nairobi/ Sweetwaters / Samburu/ Naro Moru/ Aberdares / LakeBogoria/ Lake Nakuru/ Lake Elemtaita / Lake Naivasha / Maasai Mara/ Amboseli/ Tsavo/ Nairobi.
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport onboard evening flight.We recieve you at the airport and transfer to Nairobi Safari Club/Hilton Hotel,overnightstay on bed/breakfast basis.
Day 2:Nairobi/SweetWaters Game Reserve.
Depart in the morning for the shoulders of Mt.Kenya,d rive through rich farmlands of the kikuyu tribe who grow corn and coffee among other crops enjoy the scenery as you explore the great rift valley on your drive to arrive at Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp for lunch. Sweetwaters is a "Rhino heaven"(Morani which you can feed and touch) and other big five game including the elephants,buffalos,lion and the leopard, a wide variety of birds such as Augur Buzzard, Stout Cisticola, Cape Robin Chat, Black Kite, African Harrier Hawk among other highland species are easily spotted. An optional night game drive is available at an extral cost.Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. (fullboard).
Day 3:Samburu National reserve.
Leave Sweetwaters after breakfast and you drive (3hours)to the north rugged semi desert region arriving in time for lunch at lodge. Afternoon game drive and birds commonly seen in this region include the Bristle-crowned Starling,Vereaux's Eagle-owl, Night Heron, Palm-Nut Vulture (sometimes called the South African Fish-Eagle) and Pygmy Falcon; Verreaux's Eagle can be seen soaring over the hills in the park. Donaldson-Smith's Sparrow Weaver which is fairly common in some locations. Dinner and overnight at Samburu lodge/Serena lodge/Sopa Lodge.(fullboard).
Early morning (6:30am-9:00am)and late afternoon( 1600hrs-1800hrs) game viewing drive at Samburu in search of the rarely found species of wild game like the rare liver-red reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra, the long necked gerenuk antelopes, beisaOryx, blue flanked Somali ostrich, vulturine guinea fowl and also braving lions on the grass, leopards in the trees and plenty of other plains game, you may even get to see the uncommon Red-headed Weaver which has been nesting in the grounds for the last couple of years.In between meals there is optional visit to the Samburu villages if clients so wish. All mealsand overnight at Shaba lodge/Serena Lodge/Sopa Lodge.
Day 5:Mt. Kenya/Naro Moru River.
Breakfast from your lodge and depart Samburu for Mt.Kenya region arriving at the Naro-Moru River lodge early afternnon for lunch, spend the rest of the day birding at this montane forest. Rare species likely to be seen include; Green Ibis, Lesser Spotted Eagle,Harrier Hawk, Rufous Sparrow hawk, Ayre's Hawk Eagle.Black stork, Red Fronted Parrots, Green Ibis Common snipe, Mountain Buzzard, Bronze napped pigeon Mountain white-eye, Abbots Starling, Sharpe's Starling, Mountain Oriole and Thick-billed seedeater. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Naro Moru River Lodge .
Day 6:Aberdares/Tree Hotel.
Early morning guided nature walk followed by breakfast at your lodge and drive to the shoulders of Mt.Kenya arriving at the Outspan Golf & Country Club for lunch. After lunch transfer by lodge vehicle to the Treetops Lodge where from the lodge balcony you view game that often visit the floodlit waterhole and saltlick--e.g elephants, rhino, buffalo and giant forest hog,birds likely to be spotted include African Green Ibis,Ayres's Hawk Eagle, Crowned Eagle, African Grass Owl,Cape Eagle Owl and Long-tailed Widowbird,and Aberdare Cisticola, Baillon's Crake and the Striped Flufftail. Dinner and overnight onboard the Tree Lodge.(Treetops).
Day 7:Aberdares Tree Hotel/ Lake Baringo/ Lake Bogoria.
Depart Treetops lodge for Outspan hotel for breakfast. After breakfast proceed southwards via Thomson falls for a brief stop ,you're likely to see Chestnut-Winged Starlings, Slender billed starling, Rock Martin, Grey cuckoo shrike around the waterfalls. Proceed to the Great Rift Valley and onto Lake Bogoria National Park. The Reserve's herd of the rare Greater Kudu makes it unique and other game to view. The south shore of Lake Bogoria has acacia-ficus woodland and to the north is a papyrus swamp. Birds unique to this area include, Congregatory of Lesser and Greater flamingo, Steppe eagle, Curlew Sand piper, Black necked grebe and Black headed Plover. Dinner and Overnight will be at Lake Baringo Country Club (Fullboard).
Day 8:Lake Baringo.
Full day at Baringo, well known by many avid Ornithologist as mecca for Birds, with 500 species of birds having been recorded. There are possibilities to see rare species like, Cape Eagle Owl, White-faced Scops Owl, Jackson's Hornbill, Hemprich's Hornbill, Brown-Tailed Rock Chat, Nothern Red Bishop, Northern Masked Weaver and White Billed Buffalo Weaver, Olivaceous Warbler, Northern brownbul, Jackson's golden backed weaver, Little weaver, Brown Tailed Rock Chat, Goliath heron, Northern Shoveller, Verreauxs eagle owl, Bristle crowned starling, Senegal Thicknee, Pygmy falcon, Blue cheecked bee-eater. Day 9:Lake Baringo/Lake Nakuru.
Morning breakfast at your lodge in Baringo,and proceed to arrive Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at Sarova Lionhill/ Lake Nakuru Lodge, Late afternoon (1600hrs-1800hrs) game drive.Lake Nakuru has a surprisingly number of animals, it is a Rhino sanctuary and the "big five" except the Elephant can be seen here, a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Nakuru National Park, a shallow and strongly alkaline lake, with surrounding acacia woodland & grassland, there're thousands of Lesser and Greater flamingos make this lake their home, among hundreds of other Species unique to this area which include, White winged Black Tern, Hilderbrants Francolin, African fish eagle, Steppe eagle, Grey crested Helmet Shrike, Red-capped lark, Spotted Crake. Day 10:Lake Nakuru/Lake Elementaita.
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast at your lodge and depart for Lake Elemntaita in good time for lunch. Day 11:Lake Elementaita/Lake Naivasha.
Morning breakfast and depart Lake Elemetaita for Lake Naivasha arriving in good time for lunch at the Sopa Lodge.Mid afternoon bird walk or boat ride (Optional),the only fresh water rift valley lake in Kenya. The lake supports a diverse water-bird community, with more than 80 species recorded regularly which includes Red knobbed coots, African spoonbill, African jacana and little grebes depending on water levels. Dinner and over night at the Sopa Lodge/Simillar.
Day 12:Full day at the Lake Naivasha.
Full day at the lake Naivasha Region extending your bird walks to Hells gate for vulture bredding point. Afternoon return to your lodge for optional activities. All meals at Sopa Lodge/Simillar.
Day 13:Lake Naivasha/Maasai Mara.
Early Breakfast depart for Maasai Mara crossing the loita plains, Game viewing enroute to arrive at lodge in good time for lunch at Mara sopa/ Keekorok lodge .Afternoon game drive inside the scenic park well known for great concertration of wildgame. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa lodge/ Keekork lodge. (fullboard).
Day 14&15:Maasai Mara.
Two Full days in maasai mara taking with you picnic luches for full days to explore the magic mara. The bush and woodlands around the reserve also hold some unique bird species, more than 450 bird species have been recorded in the Mara, including 12 species of cisticola and birds of prey. Large numbers of palaerctic migrants winter in the area including Caspian plovers and white storks. Other local and unusual birds in the Mara include Rock Cisticola, Rufous Bellied Heron, Denham's Bustard, Black Coucal, Red Tailed chat, Pale Wren Warbler, Tabora Cisticola, Yellow Bellied Hyliota, Green-capped Eremomela and Magpie Shrike. Dinner and overnight at the Sopa Lodge/ Keekorok Lodge.
Day 16:Nairobi/Amboseli .
Early Breakfast at your lodge in Mara and depart for Nairobi arriving for earlylunch, afternoon depart for Amboseli at the foot of the mighty snow-capped Mt.Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, Amboseli is a photogenic Park and hosts great number of game ,enroute game viewing as you proceed to Amboseli Sopa/ Serena lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 17:Amboseli National Park.
Full day in Amboseli Park which hosts great number of game including the lion, elephant and the splendid cheetah, 400 species of birds many of which live in and around the swamps. Meals and overnight at Amboseli lodge/Sopa Lodge. (fullboard).
Day 18:Amboseli/Tsavo West National Park.
Early early morning breakfast and depart Amboseli for Tsavo Westto the land of man-eaters - Tsavo National Park. A diverse and vast park which is one of the largest game sanctuaries with combination of Tsavo west and Tsavo East. Arrive in good time for lunch at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge. game drive in the wilderness supports a large number of games including elephants, rhino, lion, huge herd of buffalo etc.Dinner and over night at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Day 19: Tsavo West National Park.
Early morning breakfast followed by full day game drive extending the game at the Mzima springs for nature walk. Meals and dinner at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge.
Day 20:Tsavo West/Nairobi.
Early morning breakfast and depart Tsavo for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Lunch at Tona Tree and proceed to Nairobi National Park bide fare well your bird watching, overnight at the Nairobi Safari Club/Hilton Hotel.
Breakfast at your Nairobi Hotel and drop off at the airport for your flight out.
