Our trip was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and beyond every expectation. You and your staff, especially Benson, our guide and driver made our trip the most amazing adventure we have ever been on. Your country, Kenya, is absolutely beautiful and made us most welcome everywhere we went. Tanzania was also fabulous and provided us additional adventure time beyond our beliefs.
The lodges and meal accomodations were 5 star all the way----way beyond what we expected. The broad smiling faces of all the local village folks made us feel right at home and most welcome.
This was truly a trip of a lifetime and one which we will always remember for the rest of our lives. Anyone wishing to contact us for additional reference information may do so.

Hi Peter
Thanks, Penfam for a great experience in Kenya and Tanzania. The tour itinerary you arranged for us was fantastic, and ensured that we saw the greatest possible number of animals including, of course, the Big Five. The trip was made all the more enjoyable by the very high calibre of the guides you provided for us - Benson in Kenya and Engelbert in Tanzania. Their expert knowledge of wildlife and the ecology of the East African game parks made the experience all the more enjoyable., They looked after us exceptionally well, with good humour, and we value their friendship. At Amboseli Benson gave us an impressive demonstration of his driving skills - in reverse at high speed! - when a cranky old elephant took exception to the tour vans and it was things like that which added to the excitement of our experience. They say an elephant never forgets, but we hope for Benson's sake it doesn't remember his number plate! Engelbert is a former park ranger and his knowledge of wildlife management issues is impressive. We were privileged to have him share his knowledge with us. Peter Gichina's help was terrific and nothing was too much trouble. We appreciate that you went out of your way to ensure that we had a great holiday - the special trip to the elephant orphanage because we missed the morning walk and the "nyama choma" lunch you hosted for us on our way back through Nairobi were just two examples.
Peter, you were responsive to all our requests and we definitely made the right decision to book our tour with Penfam. There were so many highlights and great experiences that it is hard to pick one, though floating above the animal migration in a hot air balloon at dawn over the Masaai Mara has to be something we will never forget. You did us proud!

Jambo Peter
A very, very belated hello and thank you for making our honeymoon one that we will always remember. The places, the people, the scenery and most of all the animals and birdlife were truly spectacular and it was thanks to you and Justus that we were able to see and experience the vast range of savannah, coastline, wildlife and mystique of Kenya and Tanzania.
Justus was exceptional in every way. His warmth and friendliness, his knowledge, his insight, his driving, his time keeping and his love of the land and nature was so very much appreciated by both Marc and I throughout the 13 days we were with him. It was certainly sad to say goodbye but thanks to him, we have some truly incredible memories and thoughts to always treasure. In Tanzania, Chas too was excellent, knowing exactly when and how to make sure that we saw was the very best there was to see in the most natural situations.
We had a safe and uneventful journey back home, feeling very relaxed and bronzed, especially after such a romantic last few days in paradise (Breezes in Zanzibar of course!). It has certainly been a struggle for us both getting back to normal life here in England!
Thank you so very much again to you and everyone at Penfam for what was such an amazing, very memorable honeymoon. We would not hesitate in recommending Penfam to any new or seasoned safari enthusiast!

Carol and I wish to convey our appreciation for the way Penfam conducted our recent Safari of Kenya & Tanzania.
The vehicles were very good and well maintained - the lodges were good and so was their food. But what made the safari so very enjoyable and informative was the quality of our driver guides. Lazaro in Tanzania was excellent and we would recommend him to any one - by the time we left the Serengeti he had shown us every animal except the Serval Cat ( extremely rare to sight them anywhere in Africa ). We originally felt sorry for our Kenyan guide Justus as we thought there was little to show us. WRONG !!! He got us so close to so many animals and explained their story / history to us. Both these men do the African Safari Tourism a very great service along with the clients that are lucky enough to have them as their guides.
Peter we would be grateful if you could personally pass our thanks to both of them.

For advertising on the web site it is hard to mention Penfam in a concise way. You were so much more than a travel agent. When we needed advice, transport, spur of the moment plans, extra help or anything at all, Penfam was there. Multiple flights and itineraries for 10 people from the US went off without a hitch. It has been almost 2 weeks since we returned to California from East Africa. It has taken this long to find the time to send you this note which I had intended to write soon after our travels. After coming home to schedules and telephones and traffic we appreciate our time in Kenya and Tanzania even more. It was a fantastically awesome adventure. We loved every minute (except for some of the longer road journeys) and would return in the beat of a heart. Thank you, from all of us, for your assistance, excellent service and infinite patience as we planned and executed our first experience in your country. I am writing to tell you how delighted I was with my most recent (and very first ever!) safari with your company, from July 14 to 18, in the Masai Mara. I had such a marvelous time, which was really most unexpected, as I had only scheduled a very short safari as I was really planning on staying in Uganda to teach for most of my stay in Africa. I wanted to take advantage of the possibility of a safari, since I was there, but didn't expect much in so few days, but WOW!
Much of our wonderful experience was due to our great guide, William, about whom I cannot say enough complimentary words. He is quite simply the best - a lovely person and a excellent teacher. We were quite lucky to have him, and I want to thank you all.
I've been sharing my photos and actually wearing my t-shirt around trying to drum up business for you - (which is not usually my thing, but since I was so impressed... :)
